The Scent of Jasmines

She kissed me and said
"You smell of jasmines"
I smiled...
I had nothing on me...
I was at my happiest then...

A trickling of star lights
in the darkest of nights

Tendrils weaving through
the twilight breeze

The sweet sussuring

of an angel

A wisp of love's memory

Blossom bereft of light

The innocence and fragility
of a woman

guilty pleasures...

I often wonder if people feel the same...
or if there was anyone who could understand...
My heart is restless...
It is ever yearning for the very thing that could set it free...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have never really roller bladed...
And I am far from being good...yet...
As the wheels touch the ground...
The night takes over me...
Skin licked by the summer air...
Wheels grinding upon the ground...
The darkness hums a song...
Filling my head with such intoxication...
The night slices through me...
Uncertainty and fear abandon me...
I do my love's bidding...
As he whispers in my mind...
I lift my arms in surrender...
My soul flies...
I dance my secret dance through the night...
A shadow playing in muted lights...
