Carpe Diem

break free from the shackles
of tradition and time

let your soul rage
under the glorious light

breathe in life till your nose bleeds
of raw harsh reality

sense every grain of soil
that shifts and grinds under your feet

titillate over the sharp quick kisses
of the cold night breeze

suspend your naked soul
unto the silver evening orb that calls upon it

tremble, quiver, break...
let loose your weary spirit

Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
